The Healthy Weigh (September 2000-present)

  • Provide individual nutritional counseling to clients diagnosed with diabetes, gestational diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.
  • Contract dietitian for Texas Children’s Hospital, Wellness Center. Responsibilities include:
    Nutritional counseling for children and adolescent patients diagnosed with obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and anorexia nervosa. Exercise education for children and adolescents with type 2 diabetes. Teach healthy cooking classes to children and adolescents.
  • Contract dietitian for Intracare Hospitals.
    Responsibilities include: Nutritional assessment, education, and follow-up for patients with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anorexia nervosa, and obesity.
  • Contract dietitian for Stambush Health Care.
    Responsibilities include: Nutritional care and education for patients undergoing physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Houston VA Medical Center (August 1999-August 2000)

  • Rotated throughout hospital, participating in all aspects of nutritional care and managerial duties.
